Stephens to Seek Re-Election to the PA House of Representatives

Horsham, PA—Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) today announced that he will seek
re-election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 151st Legislative District.
“It’s an honor to serve our community in the State House and I look forward to sharing my
record of accomplishments and vision for the future with voters in Horsham, Montgomery, and
Upper Dublin Townships and Ambler Borough,” explained Stephens.

Stephens, a lifelong resident and six term incumbent, has been a leading voice on eliminating
harmful PFAS chemicals from drinking water, ensuring students receive a quality education,
protecting children from abuse, combating domestic violence, reducing gun violence, and
improving our roads and other critical infrastructure.

“By working with state and local officials on both sides of the aisle, we’ve ensured we have the
highest drinking water standards in the country, the highest level of school funding in state
history, important protections for our children and countless road and intersection improvements
within our communities,” Stephens said.

Navigating our community, businesses, and schools through the pandemic and economic
recovery has been Stephens’ focus. He’s worked with his colleagues to support our front-line
heroes, workers, businesses, and families through the pandemic via funding for grants and loans,
and an expanded safety-net. He also spearheaded efforts to expedite COVID testing and
organized vaccine clinics to assist local residents. Coming out of the pandemic, Stephens wants
to foster civility and unity in our communities.

“Our nation and commonwealth have endured a time of great division, fear and uncertainty. It is
important that our elected leaders put rhetoric aside and restore civility to the political discourse.
We must set a positive example for our neighbors and children,” said Stephens.

Stephens has consistently been an independent voice putting the needs of the community above
partisan politics. He cited critical issues facing the 151st District such as: restoring communities
impacted by the tornado and hurricane Ida; the future of the former Willow Grove Naval Air
Station, retail shopping centers in Montgomery Township and local small businesses in Ambler
and improvements to local roads and the Pennsylvania Turnpike as priorities.

“Working together, we’ve accomplished some great things. I look forward to building upon
those successes to ensure our community remains a great place to live, work and raise a family,”
Stephens explained.
